Pupu Scrunchie

One of my favorite designers Sari Nordlund came out with a perfect scrunchie pattern earlier this year, Pupu scrunchie. I  was finally able to cast it on this week! It is such a easy and quick project I can't wait to make more for Christmas presents.

To make this adorable scrunchie you will need these materials.

  • 6 x 16" circular needle
  • US size 6 double pointed needles or 6 x 40" circular needle ( for magic loop technique)
  • tapestry needle
  • hair tie
  • and extra 16" circular needle anything less then a US size 6 foe kitchener sts.
  • 1 skein of Winter Blossom  that will be held double.
  • stitch markers
  • pattern via Ravelry

The designed is worked in 2 pieces that are knotted together at the end.

To start you will work the tail. To start this section can be a little tricky but once you get going its very simple.

Then you will move on the the actual scrunchie!

To finish it off you will tie the tail around the scrunchie!

If you are going to use our Winter Blossom yarn, 1 skein will be more then enough and you will have 1/3 of the skein left.  If  you are planning on making multiple I would suggest getting 2 skeins and you should be able to make 3 of these scrunchies.

I can't wait to give one to all my friends!
