The HOLLY bandana is a small, playful triangular scarf in an eyelet pattern. It works wonderfully as a headscarf or hairband, but also looks great as a neckerchief with blouses and shirts—the perfect one-skein project to reduce your “stash.”
The pattern includes two variations: a slightly smaller scarf for the head and a larger version that works well as a neckerchief. The scarf is knitted from the top center down to the tip in an eyelet pattern. For a perfect finish, it is fully edged with an I-cord.
Techniques used: left- and right-leaning increases, picking up stitches along the side edge, binding off using the I-cord method.
This Version we used a light sport weight and went up to a US 3 sized needle, the original pattern called for a US 2.5.
