We are so excited that fall has finally arrived! The temperature has already started to drop even down here in South Florida. I can finally go for a walk with Isa and not get heat stroke, haha.
In celebration of the cooler days coming I thought I would do a little blog post with all my favorite fall knits.
First , Andrea Mowry's Wool and Honey.
I just love how it turned out in our Batiste yarn, it is so soft and light. The pattern is so unique and fun to do, I was obsessed getting through all those honeycombs. Check out our blog post about making this awesome sweater.
Second, Takka Pullover By Jesse Molzan
This is one of my favorite FREE patterns I have designed. It is so easy and cozy you are going to love it. It is made with our Nautika Yarn held double, or you can use a bulky weight yarn. The garment is worked in one piece with the sides attached and the turtle neck worked in the round later.
Third, Marques Cowl by Jesse Molzan
The Marques Cowl is such a great cowl pattern. It is so easy and is perfect way to use up your scrap yarns. For the base you will need 2 skeins of our Covet yarn or 100 grams of a sport weight yarn. Then you will work fun slip stitch stripes to add color and texture.
We have made up some really fun color combo kits for you check them out you won't regret it!
Fourth, Azami Pullover By Valentina Knits
Valentina Knits creates some of the most gorgeous lace yoked projects! For this amazing design she used our Winter Blossom yarn. The yarns delicate halo and super luxurious feel adds such depth to this design.
Fifth, Melted Mirage by Stephen West
If you are a fan of brioche you will really enjoy this shawl. I love how simple but intricate it looks. I made mine with Kettle Tweed (Variegated) and our Winter Blossom (Solid) and I am so happy with how the contrast came out. I also love that it is a super oversized shawl to keep you warm all through fall and winter.
Sixth, Gridelines by Sosu
Gridelines is another super unique knit! It is worked from sleeve to sleeve in 1 piece. I worked mine out of our Kettle Tweed for some fun variegation. I love how it turned out!! I will say it is a little challenging, but totally worth it. The airiness of the top makes it super comfy. You can check out our blog post about the sizes and how many skeins of Kettle Tweed you will need to make your own.
Seventh, New Castle Road Shawl by Kirsten Kapur
Designer Kirsten Kapur posted a photo of this gorgeous shawl on her Insta and thought it would be so perfect in our Niya yarn. I was able to participate in the testing of the shawl. It is a great building blocks shawl worked in 5 colors. Since it is worked in worsted weight it goes pretty fast for how large it is.
Eighth, Oquirrh Sweater, by Tayler Harris
Tayler Harris created the coziest sweater in our Winter Blossom yarn. I wish you all could feel how soft and luxurious this sweater is! She double stranded Winter Blossom to give it a more substantial feel. Also, how gorgeous does the Snapdragon color look?
Ninth, Ocean Whisper By Vanessa Knits
Vanessa Knits created the most splendid shawl out of our Covet yarn. It is a oversized triangle shawl worked in simple stripes with a fun little yarn over row. Then at the top is lots of yarn over stripes.
We have made fun color kits mixing our solid Covet yarn and our gorgeous Hand Dyed Covet!
Tenth, Felix Pullover by Amy Christoffers
If you are looking for a simple mindless pullover this is the project for you. The pattern called for an Aran weight yarn but I was able to get gauge with our Covet and Hand Dyed Covet yarn double stranded. I love how subtle the hand dyed turned out when doubled with a solid.
Eleventh, Best Beret By James Watts
I don't know about you but I love an over the top hat. It really fits my personality, hehe! James Watts came out with the cutest Beret pattern last year and I just loved how oversized it is. I made mine out of Allagash and Winter Blossom held together, it created the most gorgeous heathered fabric.
You can get your kit here, you won't regret it!
Twelfth, Penny Vest by Elizabeth Smith
The Penny Vest is such a versatile design, it really can be worn and used all year long! Elizabeth Smith is such a great designer, she has written this pattern for 5 weights of yarn! In the photo she used our Soie Et Lin yarn, it has to most wonderful drape. The best part of this vest is that it can be converted into a cozy scarf as well!
I hope this list of fun designs gets you excited about fall knitting!! I know I can't wait to finish up my work knitting to start on something for myself!
